The Case Management Exchange (CMX) is a web application that gives transplant surgeons access to data collected during the EVLP process. This allows the surgeon to make real time assessments during perfusion in order to determine the acceptability of the lungs for transplant. In addition to standard clinical data to evaluate lung function, the CMX displays photographs, radiographs, and high definition video of the procedure, including bronchoscopies. The CMX can be accessed via a secure, cloud-based software platform from anywhere an internet connection is available. Combined with integrated live-streaming video, the CMX is designed to give transplant surgeons confidence in assessing lungs for transplant, even from a remote location.
