- Please provide the name of the transplant center and the name of the physician who will be reviewing the EVLP data during the case
- Please provide your UNOS ID and Matchrun ID numbers
- An LBE Specialist will contact your center's representative
- In the event of any limitations during Lung Bioengineering's EVLP services, your center will be advised immediately and provided with an approximate duration of any expected delay
LUNG ALLOCATION & PROCUREMENT
No change required in OPTN lung allocation policy
OPOs will be responsible for all allocation/re-allocation
No change in lung procurement protocols
Lungs retrieved by initially accepting transplant center or qualified
alternativeRecommendations include maximizing LA, PA and trachea for cannulation
All OPTN packaging and shipping policies apply
Label verification performed upon arrival to LBE
Lung Bioengineering can assist in arranging logistics as needed
ASSISTANCE WITH LOGISTICS
Transplant center is responsible for arranging logistics but LBE is available to assist as needed.
